About
Hi, I’m Sharon,
I’m here to support you! I provide a safe, empathetic, confidential, non-judgemental space for you to share your challenges. We work together collaboratively, you decide what you want to work on, the depth of that exploration and an approach that resonates with you.
I’m experienced in supporting individuals who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, grieving losses and who may be struggling with their relationship with themself, personal or professional relationships, or life transitions.
I use mindfulness, self-regulation techniques, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Somatics, and Brief Solution-Focused Therapy as evidence-based practices, however, you decide what approach resonates with you!
My competency includes training at Rhodes Wellness College as a Professional Counsellor and Certified Life Coach with 1000+ hours of counselling and coaching experience. Through volunteering with Sagesse Domestic Violence Prevention Society, I’ve gained insight into intimate partner violence and coercive control, co-facilitating workshops to support individuals who have experienced domestic violence.
Healing and growth are an ongoing journey…you can feel lighter and happier; I’m here to support you, so let’s talk!
Counselling Services
We meet one-on-one on a secure online platform to discuss the challenges that you are facing. I provide a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space where you can talk freely. We work together collaboratively, and you can decide what you want to work on within your comfort zone.
Through counselling, you’ll gain insights into issues affecting different aspects of your life. We’ll develop strategies and equip you with tools to overcome these challenges. Occasionally, the process can evoke emotions, but we’ll work within your comfort zone and utilize techniques to help you manage those feelings without becoming overwhelmed.
Counselling provides an opportunity to alleviate burdens, address fears and facilitate understanding and healing of past painful experiences that may be weighing you down. It also enhances relationships, communication, self-understanding, and establishing healthy boundaries when necessary.
All information shared during sessions is confidential, except if you disclose harm to yourself or others (including vulnerable persons) or if the Counsellor is subpoenaed in a court of law. Additionally, confidentiality remains intact even if the Counsellor seeks clinical supervision or peer consultation.
Contact me for a free 20-minute consultation to determine if we’re a good fit to work together. I look forward to meeting you!
